Bill Rudick

Senior Engineer, IoT and Embedded

Veteran systems engineer with 25+ years across P2P, telecom, film VFX, UAV control, and nuclear software; OReilly author and former Microsoft program member.

Bill has over 25 years of experience across the computer industry. He is a past member of the Microsoft Consultant Relations Program and the Hewlett Packard Developers Program, and the author of numerous articles on computing and telecommunications.

Based on his work for Scour.com, a competitor to early P2P pioneer Napster, he was selected as one of three contributing authors for a book on ASP and P2P technologies and business models published by OReilly and Associates.

His projects range from business systems for the California Fair Plan and the States of Kansas and Louisiana to a facial motion capture system for the Walt Disney feature A Christmas Carol, and consulting on the Hollywood classic WarGames.

Most recently, drawing on 30 years as a licensed private pilot, he directed and developed field tests for an innovative unmanned air vehicle ground control software system for AeroVironment, a major supplier of small drone aircraft to the U.S. military, and developed software for the nuclear power plant industry for Enablinx.
