Amazon engaged TaylorMade Software to assist their London-based Financial Analytics team with a short-term project focused on GDPR compliance and ETL modernization. Collaborating remotely with French-speaking SMEs, we were brought in to diagnose and resolve key compliance gaps in their data pipelines.
The existing job orchestration platform, built around AWS Glue and Redshift, had custom legacy components that were difficult to maintain and posed compliance risks. We contributed to migrating and redesigning ETL processes into a modern Apache Airflow orchestration platform to improve visibility, control, and auditability.
Our work led to a significant improvement in pipeline reliability, GDPR alignment, and developer productivity through more transparent scheduling, logging, and job recovery. These changes helped Amazon better safeguard financial data workflows in accordance with European regulatory standards.
