CostFirst, a healthcare cost containment provider, partnered with TaylorMade Software to modernize its fraud detection and reporting infrastructure. Legacy systems were fragmented across manual ETL processes and separate delivery tools, limiting efficiency and scalability.
We developed and maintained a cloud-native fraud detection system using Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, and optimized SQL stored procedures. The system enabled robust detection of workers comp fraud scenarios and batch scoring of cases.
We also re-architected the product line for Azure, enabling alternate data consumption through FileMaker and modern BI tools like Tableau and PowerBI. This broadened access and flexibility for internal users and external stakeholders.
To extend long-term capabilities, we implemented a Snowflake data lake and serverless ingestion pipeline that integrated seamlessly with Azure. The system supports quarterly data refreshes and dynamic rules tuning for fraud detection models—all within a scalable, secure Snowflake environment.
CostFirst now operates a unified, cloud-first data architecture centered on Snowflake, providing secure, high-performance fraud analytics to both internal teams and clients.
