Eversource Energy engaged TaylorMade Software to enhance its Harness IDP platform and developer experience by creating reusable automation templates, improving CI/CD workflows, and optimizing DevOps in a Redhat OpenShift environment.

We developed a cookiecutter .NET API template that included C#, Docker, and Flyway with fully automated PowerShell and bash scripts. The templates enforced enterprise conventions and were deployed using Harness IDP pipelines integrated with GitHub and Artifactory.

To support rapid infrastructure-as-code provisioning, we implemented automated Azure resource token naming and OpenShift (OCP) deployment pipelines, reducing friction in containerized microservice rollouts.

For cost optimization, we engineered a DevOps setup for Citrix VDI using PowerShell and bash scripting—potentially saving the company $200,000 annually. We also created React-based tandem cascading pickers and YAML-guided task flows in Backstage.io to improve UX and reduce friction in the Harness portal.

To enhance user workflows further, we built plug-ins that allow users to fetch prior pipeline values and apply default inputs when modifying workflows—eliminating repetitive reentry and improving onboarding speed across teams.
