L-3 Communications, under contract to NAVSEA and NAVEODTECHDIV, engaged TaylorMade Software to design and implement a secure software architecture for detecting, tracking, and reporting on Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). This multi-phase engagement included engineering both the front-end and back-end of systems to handle high volumes of classified data and forensic intelligence.

James Taylor architected and developed real-time ETL pipelines between Oracle transactional databases and reporting systems using MSMQ and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). He enhanced the existing codebase to support modern .NET best practices, including Data Access Application Block (DAAB) optimization and ODP.NET integration for high-performance Oracle access.

Additional tools included a PDF rendering engine using XML/XSL with RenderX, ColdFusion web interfaces, and the extension of Kathleen Dollard’s Code Generation Harness to support CSLA templates for both .NET 2.x and 3.x. His contributions improved development efficiency, report accuracy, and data synchronization across distributed systems.
