SHI International partnered with TaylorMade Software to modernize its agent-based data collection platform and evaluate a next-generation analytics stack using Snowflake.

Our work began with porting a legacy Delphi-based zero-footprint agent to Python 2.7, enabling support across Windows, Linux, Unix, and MacOS systems, drastically improving cross-platform compatibility and operational flexibility.

We built comprehensive testing and deployment environments in MacStadium's cloud-based Rackspace, supporting diverse operating systems including Solaris, MacOS, and multiple Linux flavors, ensuring full coverage in end-to-end UAT testing.

In parallel, we conducted MSSQL-based data warehouse performance profiling and delivered a strategic recommendation report comparing modern platforms. We guided SHI through a successful Snowflake proof-of-concept (PoC), laying the foundation for scalable data lake, BI, and ML initiatives.

Technologies used included Python, MSSQL, Snowflake, MacStadium, Rackspace, and multiple Unix/Linux distributions.
