St. Vincent de Paul CARES, a nonprofit in Saint Petersburg, Florida, supports veterans and their families through housing, healthcare, and social services. With 12 offices across the state, their aging Sophos firewalls and network infrastructure were straining to keep up with modern cybersecurity demands.

TaylorMade Software was engaged to design and implement a full SD-WAN solution that would modernize their cybersecurity posture. We deployed a parallel network design, migrating satellite offices one by one before seamlessly switching over the HQ hub servers. This method ensured zero downtime while transitioning to high-availability (HA) Sophos firewalls.

Every mobile device and phone was secured with Sophos Central Mobile and Intercept X MDR, extending protection through a Zero Trust encrypted environment. The nonprofit gained enterprise-grade anti-ransomware protection, real-time threat detection, and encrypted endpoint management without interrupting mission-critical operations.

Beyond deployment, TaylorMade Software provided ongoing MSP services, continuous upgrades, and expert support. We also assisted in evaluating and integrating third-party applications into their secure environment—ensuring their veterans-focused mission remained protected for years to come.

As a veteran-owned company with many staff who served, we felt a special honor in supporting St. Vincent de Paul CARES. We proudly provided veterans’ discounts and brought our own mission-driven perspective to help safeguard the very men and women who served our country.
