VA Healthcare and Service Portal Modernization

Modernized VA scheduling and portals, enabling Healthy Vet confirmations and reducing IT costs through full-stack upgrades

TaylorMade Software delivered critical modernization for the VA across two key initiatives. We enhanced the WPF-based VistA Healthcare Scheduling app using C#.NET and Telerik RAD controls, improving appointment grid performance and integrating new pluggable WPF modules with oAuth-secured Java REST APIs backed by Oracle and MongoDB. These enhancements enabled successful appointment confirmation messaging to the Healthy Vet mobile app and reduced UI lag from 15 to 3 seconds.

We also architected and maintained an ASP.NET MVC enterprise portal for managing VA service requests across all departments. Built with Razor, jQuery, Kendo UI, and SQL Server, it consolidated IBM Rational APIs, cutting operational costs and streamlining workflows. Our team delivered complex SSRS reporting, automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and PowerShell, and ensured 508 accessibility with JAWS.
