Client: Seminole County, Florida
Challenge: Modernize while simultaneously reducing IT budget
Result: Modernization of IT infrastructure, saving 100k in two years
With reduced revenues, and over 400 SQL Server, Oracle and DB2 databases, with many disparate silos of applications and technologies, Seminole County, Florida needed to reduce their IT budget, while moving forward with modernization.
TaylorMade Software created software and database architecture roadmaps for Seminole County and developed and managed the Enterprise Architecture program in the IT department driving the software and database architecture programs consolidating systems through SOA and modernization efforts. We saved the county $50K in one fiscal year by negotiating discounts with vendors on purchase orders and engaging pro-bono expert consultants. We repeated the savings the next year, setting the county up for streamlined, cost-effective operations in the future.
